2005年隨著中國當代藝術的強勢興起，華藝文化回應了市場需要，把當代藝術視為一個新的板塊，獨立發行一本新的雜誌，名為《當代藝術新聞》（現更名為
《亞洲藝術新聞》）。分刊後的《CANS藝術新聞》專門經營古文物，包括中國骨董、書畫，因與當代藝術的綠本有所區隔，坊間則稱為紅本。
從1997年7月創刊的《CANS藝術新聞》至2005年的《當代藝術新聞》及現今更名的《亞洲藝術新聞》。
《亞洲藝術新聞》致力打造成為亞洲二十世紀及現當代藝術的平台，並對亞洲二十世紀及現當代藝術的整合做出時代的貢獻。 會每期聚焦在亞洲的一個城市；通過城市來關注亞洲藝術產業的脈動。
Asia Art News is committed to building a platform for Asia's twentieth-century and modern and contemporary art, and contributes to the integration of Asian twentieth century and modern and contemporary art. Each session will focus on a city in Asia; through the city to pay attention to the pulse of the Asian art industry.
